Eureka ADIBib makes digital versions of ordinary, printed textbooks available to students with serious reading and / or writing problems . ADIBib receives the print PDFs from the Flemish educational publishers of textbooks and converts them into a modified digital file. Children with reading and / or writing limitations can use the book on their laptop. They see on their computer screen everything that is in the printed version of the textbook. They can read software use, and at the same time read, listen to what is in their textbook, and fill in things themselves. Eureka ADIBib started in 2008 as a pilot project.

ADIBib only has textbooks (textbooks and workbooks). Our library currently has more than 3000 titles. And new ones are constantly being added. In the catalog you can see if the book that your child needs is already available at ADIBib. If that is not the case, you can always request a conversion. ADIBib has no reading books. For that you can go to Luisterpunt .

2. Each student must also always have the printed version of the book.
3. ADIB books are strictly personal and bear a watermark with the name of the student. You cannot pass on ADIB books. The school may also not give you ADIB books with the name of another student.
Order or request an ADI book
Currently there are more than 3,000 different titles available for order . You can order multiple books for your child. You can also order for several children at once. Teachers or other supervisors may also order ADIB books for a student.
You can also request a book that is not available in ADIBib . We try to respond to needs, and to convert as many books as possible upon request. A large number of titles are added every year. Some books are given priority, for example, books for French or English and books with a lot of text.

ADIBib is a part of Eureka Leuven , a knowledge center for the approach and prevention of learning disabilities. Eureka Leuven wants to help children, young people and adults with learning difficulties " from defect to talent " and give them better opportunities to:
develop their talents;
compensate for or adjust their learning disabilities;
actively participate in all parts of social life;
to become independent and happy people.
ADIBib was born from practice : as practical support for students with a reading disability. Eureka Leuven and Eureka ADIBib work according to the idea of the lever and the tangram ..

Some students do not have a certificate or motivated report, but do have serious reading and / or writing problems. They need reading software and / or a digital version of their textbooks. Without reading software and ADIB books, they have serious problems with reading and / or writing.
The M-decree anchors the right to reasonable adaptations for all students regardless of whether there is a specific diagnosis or not. Pupils are therefore entitled to adjustments to meet their educational needs, within reasonable limits. The responsibility lies with the school. ADIB books and / or reading software are reasonable adjustments. They therefore fit within a school care track.
The ADIBib certificate ensures that these students can also use ADIB books and reading software. The CLB can write out this certificate, based on an emergency, serious reading and / or writing problems. No specific diagnosis is required. The CLB makes this decision in consultation with the parents and school. For CLB employees: you will find a template on LARS.
Abolishing the certificates is not possible due to copyright. The good relations and openness of the Flemish educational publishers is something unique. There is currently no other country where these options are. It is therefore important that these files do not just get distributed, in order to be able to keep this. The ADIBib certificate offers a solution for students without a specific diagnosis.
