The PROMOVET project „is an innovative programme for VET trainers and quality improvement in VET processes for low skilled young learners on how to include most recent and modern web 2.0 instruments and tools, platforms and programmes in the didactical planning and implementation of VET training.

The PROMOVET Training Programme is part of the third Intellectual Output of the Erasmus+ project From elearning to “e” in learning: Quality improvement, professionalization and modernization of VET training for young low-skilled learners through modern ICT use.

Specific purpose of the inclusive learning resource
Inclusive learning intervention logic: (What specific objective is the resource intended to achieve to contribute to the overall objectives?)
It is a 5-days' training programme, VET trainers have the possibility to learn more about the use of most recent ICT and social media tools in modern VET didactic for young low-skilled learners. It covers reflection of their own training and interaction processes with their learners, introduction of the most frequently used IT and social media tools and their impact on modern VET didactic, the elaboration of VET session plans, and the elaboration of learning materials based on IT and social media tools used by their young learners.

The need for the project: VET provision for low-skilled young people is a complex pedagogical challenge. Often, VET trainers report that they find it difficult to "reach" their young learners. When we take a closer look at communication patterns, habits and processes of young people, we can see that reading and writing of complex texts tend to disappear. Communication-based interaction
⇒ is rather short and uses key words, slang words, shortcuts, etc.,
⇒ is fast and immediate; and, above all,
⇒ is becoming, to an ever-growing degree, digital.
All across Europe, however, VET training is still mostly based on the traditional communication channels, even if it no longer centers around purely teacher-centered and theory-based learning. Therefore, PROMOVET partners want to provide VET trainers with competences to make full use of their young learners' communication tools and embed them in VET didactic and training plans.

PROMOVET project partners
⇒ implement an investigative research with young low-skilled VET learners, VET trainers and training experts;
⇒ develop a web-based compendium of tools to support VET trainers;
⇒ develop a training programme for VET trainers on the use of ICT tools and their potential impact in VET didactic for low-skilled young learners;
⇒ support the general improvement of quality and professionalization in VET training through the use of ICT tools; and
⇒ realize a participative VET training approach with young learners teaching the VET trainers in the use of ICT-based tools in a learning environment.

The PROMOVET Training Curriculum has a modular format: each training module is based on the respective guideline for a total of 6 modules and 32 hours of training. The Curriculum is developed by using the Learning Outcome approach, therefore contains a description of ECVET credits in terms of knowledge, skills and competences acquired by participants after having attended each module.
Besides the modular description, the curriculum is equipped with an annex that contains a collection of training materials. These materials include handouts, description of activities, PowerPoint presentations, templates, links etc. The annex materials are available as separate files.
In order to assess knowledge, skills and competences achieved by the participants, the PROMOVET Training Curriculum foresees a final assessment.

The Curriculum consist of 5 different modules.

Module 2. Ethical Consideration and cyber security
Module 3. Compendium of ICT tools
Module 4. E-lesson planning
Module 5. Five COOL tools most used by young people.
Module 6.Evaluation of the tools and multiplying their positive impact
