As part of the project, all partners collected good practices. In order to cover the whole field, the work focused on three target groups / three levels.

The collection of good practices and the analysis of data allowed us to look at existing experiences in different countries in relation to all target groups and at all levels, but with a particular focus on the international level.

A total of 333 good practices were collected and evaluated during the project. Most of them in English (278), but a significant number are also in Bulgarian (32) and Turkish (19).

Although some of the good practices are not in English, all of the descriptions are, and can be translated and adapted as needed (at the request of Asian partners).

Title of practice:	Elixier -the search machine for educational media - effective, quality assured ,free of charge
Author/developer:	12 partners are currently involved, namely the state education servers of Hesse, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, Saxony-Anhalt, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria as well as the German education server, the FWU, MELT, Contake and SODIS with data delivery to ELIXIER. Hamburg, Bremen, Berlin-Brandenburg and Thuringia have announced their intention.

Description of good practice:	The aim of ELIXIER is the development of a standardized interface for the exchange of metadata between the German education servers and the provision of a common resource pool for teaching / learning materials, especially for school lessons. The range includes around 50,000 educational media that have been editorially selected and tested for quality. Researchable content ranges from texts such as worksheets or teaching units to images, audio and video material, to self-study materials such as web quests and school software for download. In addition to the content created by the editors of the education server, materials from lehrer-online, Planet Schule, the Siemens Foundation or the self-learning platform Mauswiesel of the Hessian education server can be searched in an integrated search.
