The University of Helsinki presents the possibility for support and accessibility for diverse learners through Special services.

One good practice of the University of Helsinki is to provide accessibility in library services. Helsinki University Library customer service staff help customers with disabilities in all matters regarding the use of the library's collections and facilities. 

 A Guide and service dogs are created in Kaisa House and all Campus Libraries. 

Students with a disability can register as a special services customer. As a special services customer • Course books may be loaned to you for an extended period of time • Library staff may assist diverse learners • in collecting diverse learners requested books from the shelves • Requested books may be delivered to home of diverse learners by post • Library staff may assist diverse learners in registering as a Celia Library customer • Diverse learners may receive personal guidance and advice on information retrieval and writing a bachelor’s or master’s thesis. • If diverse learners find that need special assistance in using the library because of some disability, is necessary to ask about special services from the library's service desk. Diverse learners can contact customer service via our feedback form, by phone, or by visiting the customer service desk at any of the library's locations. There are a few spaces reserved for disabled parking.
