Traditionally BUET term final examination for UG students occur every 6 months and the exam is very rigorous in terms of proctoring, transparency and schedule. So if a student misses any exam he has to wait six months to give the exam again. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic BUET authority has given students the chance to sit for deferred exam i.e. if any students become sick during the exam then he or she will be able to give the exam after recovering. The condition is that he or she has to inform his/her department prior to the exam and submit an application with necessary proof of the sickness.

This initiative will surely boost the confidence of the students specially during this pandemic.
