Description of good practice:
Minor communities like tribal people in Bangladesh do no enjoy the opportunity to get quality education like general people. So their participation in higher education is relatively low. So to increase their participation, BUET follows a quota system to ensure that a minimum number of tribal students get admitted every year provided that they satisfy the minimum qualification of admission.

This policy has helped a lot in the development of the tribal community and their participation in higher education has increased significantly.
