Description of good practice:
It was established at Plovdiv University Commission for Ethics and Academic Unity. The Commision is a public body established on the basis of the criteria for institutional accreditation in accordance with ESG - part 1 (1-10) and within the meaning of Art. 77, para. 2 of the Public Health Act. It includes representatives from all faculties. The Commission works with the following adopted by the Academic Council: • Rules for the organization and activity of the commission • Code of Ethics • Complaint (Sample) • Power of attorney to represent a member of KEAE (Sample) • In the Regulations for the organization and activity of Committee on ethics and academic unity in • Article 4. it is noted: • (3) In its activity the commission shall comply with the principles of legality, independence, objectivity, justice, publicity and tolerance by giving equal opportunities to protect the rights and legitimate interests of teachers, doctoral students, students and the administration of the University of Plovdiv, including taking into account the public interest. • Article 6 (2) it is noted: • The members of the commission in their activity adhere to established highs professional and ethical standards among members of the university community, institutional and interpersonal loyalty, freedom of research and the education of students, the positive image of PU among academics and civil society at home and abroad, including contributing to their positive development and affirmation. The Commission's Code of Ethics states: The Academic Collegium of Plovdiv University shares the understanding that without observance of professional and scientific ethics there can be no effective activity, which is in line with those established in the European and international scientific community humanistic values, as well as with the principles for carrying out scientific activity, underlying the Charter of European Scholars1 and the Code of Conduct for hiring scientists. The functioning of the commission is in symbiosis with the inclusive processes in higher education.
