Description of good practice:
In order to ease in- and off-campus transportation, mobility adapted vehicle and free taxi services are provided for students with mobility disabilities and visual disabilities. Mobility adapted vehicle service is provided primarily for students with mobility disabilities (UCT – Mobility Adapted Vehicle Service Brochure).
Free taxi service is provided for in-campus transportation especially for students with visual disabilities and students with mobility disabilities (UCT - Taxi Service Brochure). Students who would like to take advantage of these services must firstly apply to METU DSO (Disabled Students Office) in order for assessment of needs and preparation of personal transportation schedule.
