Gazi University organized a Panel Discussion about “We are passing over the barriers” on 3rd December 2021 for the World Disability Day. Rectorate of Gazi University, Disability Unit of Gazi University, Physiotherapy Students Club, Special Education Students Club and Young Yeşilay Club of Gazi University were organized the event.
Participants were: Vice Rectors, Deans, Academecians, Students, Officers, NGOs etc. There were around restricted 75 people due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Prof. Bulent Elbasan was the moderator of the Panel Discussion. He gave brief explanation of the meaning of the day and also introduced the Disability Unit facilities. Prof. Seyhan gave presentation about “The role of architectural constraints in social participation”. Dr. Mustafa presented “Sport overcoming obstacles” and finally Mr. Barış Telli who is a player of amputee football team and also is a national athlete made a speech about “Being an athlete on the way to the Olympics”. He won World Gold Medal two times and many other achievements which he made. Panel ended with questions and answers.
